I doubt Jim will actually listen to this, which is a shame because he might learn what many of us see as the real issues
Others might not listen to it because of who he is .... again a shame. Whichever side of the argument you are on this is worth the time

(no I didn't watch it or am I likely to do)
But you still felt the need to comment on it?

I think as politicians go, Farage is one of the better ones. He says exactly what he means and has principles. I don't always agree with him, but I'm comfy with listening to what he has to say. A lot of people are afraid of him, mainly because he knows what he's talking about, and they don't.

He's definitely not from Jim Riley's Labour Party school of thought when it comes to explaining his position... Having said that, I have met Jim and he is obviously a decent person, just a bit feeble-minded and easily led. But we must remember that stupidity is not a crime.

The thing is that unless we have a real grudge against someone or have a screw lose, we all want peace. Jim’s sentiments are Ok really. Education is the key and life experience is a better teacher than anything else. Chris was a primary school teacher in Marsh Farm, Luton for many years. She’s a good teacher!

Yes, I agree, Jim is a nice bloke, just a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic. But as I've said before, stupidity isn't a crime (and neither should it be).

I've made a note to watch it this evening. Johnv usually comes out with sensible stuff. How's the alternator? What was the problem? You still haven't told us yet. Oh - and the blown up engine - what was that all about?

The quick and easy path to bigotry: Form your view, stick to it regardless, refuse to even listen to counter arguments.

I try and avoid Brexit debates. I voted remain. I would have preferred to stay in the Eu and fight our corner. One of my main reasons for this is that I do not trust any of the uk politicians to govern us. I think that unleashed from the Eu they will take the piss even more than now. However, I accepted that we voted to leave and leave we should. I strongly doubt that most of us will even notice a difference, be us in, or out of the Eu anyway. I will add that I feel great disdain for both leavers and remainers who insult me because of my views. These people, and I include several from this forum cannot know the future. Nobody knows what leaving will bring to the average man on the street/canal. Some should think before insulting others. We all have to live together in this country, regardless of the Eu.

The history of Britain in the CM, EEC, EU. is a history of lies and evasions by almost all the political elite, both those for and those against.
Anyone who cares to do some in depth research into the history of our joining/membership and the lies and evasions foisted upon us will be justifiably shocked at the barefaced hypocrisy of so much of the information given by both of the major parties.
It is a catalogue of manipulation and deceit. Unless you personally go and research speeches etc from the early days and compare it to what actually happened, it is hard to believe the contempt the political elite has shown the population.
The number of times there has been categorical assurances issued by government that so and so will not happen or will not happen for many, many years/generations, only to see it actually happen sometimes within months of the announcement.
The number of times we have been reassured, "Don't worry we will veto this if it should be proposed" only to have it happen, with the announcement "Sorry, we did try to stop it but we couldn't veto it because it is in article so and so of such and such agreement"
All in all, the history of the last 45 years is a terrible indictment of our political system and the politicians in it.

Ok, watched it all now. I can’t really disagree with anything in it.
As I said above, it is very much about education and gaining an understanding of both sides of the argument. That’s what politics is all about. the art of persuasion.
It’s a pity some people (at all levels of society) become so polarised that they won’t listen to the other side.
So here’s your chance Jim and Andy, find a video which argues why we should stay in the EU and prove 17 million wrong...,

Bearing in mind Farage is well placed to justify his views and opinion, I think anyone would struggle to win any argument with him, hence the fact many simply attempt to ridicule the guy. He's a clever bloke, and probably the UK's only expert on this subject. That scares people, because they cannot come up with anything to argue against him.

Couldnt have put it better Steve I met him the other day, I had tickets for the Brexit march, his appearance at them is kept a secret because it brings out the ranters and ravers!! He is a nice, rational guy that believes the EU will destroy us and I happen to agree with him. My daughter who is a labour councilor agrees with him to because
A. its what she believes B. Its the makeup of her voting area so to represent them she has to believe in Brexit
