Nbta are possibly trying to get the guy relicensed, just like tadworth. CRT will have to comply. That's all I took it to mean. I didn't even read what that fuckwit on cwdf had written, but I noticed Nick was there with his wooden spoon.

I'm just curious as to how 80% of Andrzej's possessions could have suffered water damage "due to CRT's legendary incompetence". I mean, I accept this could have happened but some more detail would be helpful here. Until such time as something like this happens to you, you just cannot understand. I've seen and attended some of these removals, and frankly, CRT'S representatives are fuckin disgusting. Even the cops attending have been disgusted.

De Enfield is a fuckin twat. He often, well no, actually, he always puts crap up that is out of context with real events. I would wait for something more substantial, and from a more reliable source. Nbta are possibly trying to get the guy relicensed, just like tadworth. CRT will have to comply. I nearly wrote resident CWF ‘stirrer’ instead of ‘news reader’ in my first post this morning but thought better of it......oh bugger...

This is very true but we are all at the mercy of public opinion in the end. That’s why we are in a PR war.

I've watched two very vulnerable people evicted by CRT. One a pensioner, and one with mental health issues. No attempt whatsoever was made to help these people beforehand. Luckily someone rang social services on one, and them turning up with a council guy halted the procedure. Life seems very simple for many of us, especially when expressing our views, but the harsh reality escapes us until such time as we experience something like this ourselves.

But an explanation of how his possessions came to be water damaged would be helpful. I presume that the craft was kept on hard standing while in Cheshire so is the claim that it was damaged while being lifted out? Additionally, since it was well known that this enforcement action was about to be taken, would it not have made sense for him to have removed his work tools and other possessions beforehand?

It's a great pity that afterthought never comes beforehand isn't it. As for his possessions getting destroyed, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if this was done deliberately. Oh, they wouldn't do that would they? Well, simple answer is yes.

Did the NBTA take those cases to court? Nbta were not involved, or invited. That’s a pity. Those kind of cases might seem more worth fighting for in the public eye. As they don’t have much detail about the OP case. it’s difficult for them to judge really. Then again it’s difficult as I’m guessing not everyone wants their own personal circumstances exposed to the public. The other problem is that vulnerable people don’t always have any energy left to fight the system.

Having seen the boat and the picture of the lift out, this could be the reason. The cut down roof conversion looked quite flimsy.

I suspect with all the brexit nonsense the fellow at the centre of this story may get short shrift from the general public.

Maybe if it was a long term boarder who had fallen on hard times due to ageing then it would be slightly different.
It really looks too much like someone taking advantage.
The man on the clapham omnibus etc.
