Says the page has been taken down ... probably because it's been sold.
Will you put it on a mooring or just keep it moving ?
Owning all these boats is one problem but mooring them and licensing them is a real thorn .

Yes the page has gone that's why I put my old post up as it seems to still show the two pictures.
Licensing and mooring will not be a problem.

Its such a lot of boat for so little money I love it just no room for solar and those BMCs would have to go for nice quiet electric motors

There is room for about a kilowatt of solar on the wheelhouse top.
The interior is amazing. I usually think of a boat as a 2 dimensional layout is on one level but because this is quite a deep boat the layout has been done in 3 dimensions.
The toilet and full headroom shower room are lower than the wheelhouse so you can see over the cabin. Full visibility windows all round. Makes it feel much bigger.
Really well executed. Massive amounts of storage no space has been wasted at all. It's either tanks (4 water tanks 2 diesel tanks) or storage areas. Under the galley there is a lift up steel plate opening a cellar space I could get a bed into. That's where the spare propellers are kept.
I would quite like to do electric but was thinking keep the BMCs as they are perfect and add a steerable pod between the two props.
However this is a diesel boat for a good reason.

I did run the ultrasonic over it out of interest it's mostly 5 and 6mm some 8 and the skegs and keel are 12mm welded steel.
Some pitting here and there but remarkably good condition I think it was looked after well.
Someone has spent a ridiculous amount of time on it mostly making things out of steel or stainless.
Too many little details to describe it all. It would take about a week talking non stop to get it all across !!

The door battens are great. Whacking great levers with complex cam arrangements which cause a steel "tooth" to come out and force the door against the rubber seals on the door frame. Top and bottom actuated from a single lever with a plastic ball. The hinges are double acting so the lever actually moves both sides of the door horizontally against the seal. I thought these were to keep water out but I think they will keep baddies out pretty effectively as well !!

We have logs in a box near the stove, and kindling in the same box. And coal in another box next to the wood box. Forward planning, y'see! wow

I'm not that bothered about that as it's not going far into the cut anyway. It's a bit deep for the cut as well. Intended for the Thames mainly. ETA it's as "wet boat" the decks all have large scuppers with rubber flaps on outside so water can drain overboard fast. Like a trawler. It's basically a trawler in design terms. Indeed, that's what the cranes/arms are for. I was chased by one once, they set a collision course for entertainment knowing they have right of way when the nets are out. Grrr… Looks like a lovely boat at a bargain price. you must have been handicapped if a trawler with its nets out could catch up with you............... or perhaps you were swimming maybe?

I had to do a little video tour of the hull for future reference before it goes in water tomorrow. Put it on YouTube as I always break phones so would never be able to retain the video any other way. It's quite an interesting bit of "let's build a boat" problem solving. Bearing in mind this was a DIY construction I think it's pretty well dealt with. bargemast was incorrect about the forward visibility from helm. it's okay. The perspex panels need replacing but it's manageable.
