Three lottery ticket lucky dips for Saturdays draw yielded 2 numbers on one ticket, 3 numbers on another, sum of the winnings is £56 plus a free lucky dip.
It’s the first time since the damn thing started we’ve had more than a tenner - that said we infrequently buy tickets rather than spunk pound after pound on our lost cause helping someone else’s good cause 😬
What was it about being a tax on the stupid?!

Years ago I won £40 quid on the lottery, decided to reinvest it, lasted 6 weeks before I lost it all.
Nowadays I just get annoyed at the numpties stupidly spending money on the lottery - get out of my way, I need to buy me Cigs - this is important!

Well done you!
I once got very excited back in the very early days of the Snottery - 5 numbers!!!
Spent most of Sunday making plans - then it turned out half the world had 5 numbers that week - payout £42!
Haven't bothered since.

I do the Postcode Lottery and I've won £10 in three of the last four weeks but before that it was probably 10 months before I won the last £10.
The way I look on playing the lottery is like buying a cup of coffee, once you've spent the money it's gone. If I do win, it's an unexpected surprise.
Having said that, I did once win £6.4 million on the National Lottery. Shania said "What are we going to do about all the begging letters?" so I said "We'll keep on sending them".

How do you have a postcode on a boat?
Sometimes I get "what three words". Usually they are too offensive or boring to repeat.

I like premium bonds you can get your stake back after you have played.

My mooring's what3words address is meals.glorified.curries which works really well. But my postcode is for my home address in Ramsgate where I technically live, although it's been about 4 or 5 years since I've actually been there.

Isn't that "technically" cheating if you don't "technically" live there?

Like many folks I used to buy lottery tickets ... once won £56 ( same week as metanoia and @dj ) Then they put it up to £2 a ticket ... never bought one since. So not won anything ... but must have saved hundreds Rog
