I thought it blew away in the storm.
Maybe that was a nightmare. I do occasionally get traumatic nightmares about bad things happening to boats.

ETA I actually used what3words to get an ambulance when my back failed last year. It was good because the location was in the sticks and rather difficult to describe. Call handler was happy to use it and it went very smoothly.
Good system.
There is also one called "what3birds" I believe.

I like premium bonds you can get your stake back after you have played. Dad's Premium Bonds were worth the square root of naff all when i sent them in

I've had premium bonds for years.
I remember some anorak on canalworld doing a calculation about it and it worked out (at 4% savings rate!) that you would do better statistically if you invested the 50 grand in a high interest account and spent the interest on lottery tickets.
Don't think that works now with interest rates being so low.
I've had loads of 25s and 50s from mine but annoyingly when one wins the £2m prize they come to your door in person and I don't have a door and am rather awkward to find.
So they might have missed me which would be a shame.
£2m would be quite handy in a way.

I don't look up the list of winners anymore.
Once had a look and someone with £300 of bonds got the million. £300? FFS.
I was furious for quite a long time. They do give an indication of location but it was not enough detail for me to go and punch their lights out.
Which is good.
How very dare they.

Biggest win was £5k in 1978 and I only had <£10 worth of bonds then 😄

I've got £12's worth of Premium Bonds dating from 1959 and 1960 when £12 was a week's wage for an office worker and I have never won one single prize with them.

We have a few, don't get many winnings, mostly £25. My livaboard mate has his registered to our address, he seems to get more. We think there is a quota per household!

I always suspected polygamy might have been a useful approach
