I pay into an air ambulance funding lottery.
With my luck at winning things I never expected to win anything but I was amazed to get a cheque for a couple of hundred pounds, two or three years ago.
Gambling in any form is a waste of time for me, if I bet on the favourite in a horse race, it will set off the wrong way round the track.
Know how you feel! I eventually won something depressing in a really naff raffle - think it was something like an oven glove .... I won a cordless drill way back in my other life.. The guy who brought it round couldn't understand why I was less than enthusiastic.... At that time my DIY 'skills' has not really kicked in... not really encouraged to have a go. I think nowadays I'd appreciate winning something so useful

We are at the mercy of our contracting customers, most are winding down early this year. On top of that the lazy arse haulage companies canβt guarantee to get drivers to us week commencing 20th so anything made that week is highly unlikely to be shipped - continental Europe makes up the bulk of our custom. Add that to the torturous rigmarole of getting goods into mainland Europe and itβs just not worth the bother of having the potential risk of delays affecting shipments to those far off lands of France, Germany and the Netherlands π‘
