They are edible. But you have to go somewhere that doesn't care about the fact that they are a protected species if you fancy a bite.

No but I’m sure Andrew wouldn’t mind. I had shark steak once. It was feckin lovely. I bet dolphin is just as good. Ones a fish and one’s a mammal so completely different.

One could have a whale of a time on a boat like that.

Don't know but they are on the menu in Japan. So quite likely. They do seem to eat anything. I suppose if you have a population of 1.4 billion.

Yes fish is lean meat, (I have eaten shark.) But I would imagine dolphin is much more blubbery and fatty. Resulting in it being different from fish.

Wouldn't object to a spot of whale sushi either.

I like mackerel.
When the kids are older and I have grown up I might take the boat down river and do some fishing.

No you won't.
I find the idea of eating something that lives in the Thames estuary a tad off-putting.
Try Lyme Bay, any idiot could catch a mackerel or two there.
I wonder how many hormones and pharmaceuticals might be found as trace elements in a random Thames fish...force-fed on shit.

When in France I failed to find a restaurant serving horse. Or frog's legs. But I did find snails. Similar to whelks.
