Some triv... The upper gantry on Tower Bridge was originally a public walkway for pedestrians to cross the river. But it quickly became a well-known spot for ladies of the night to meet prospective clients. The Victorians, who were obsessed with sex but were also heavily in denial about it, proffessed outrage and it was thus closed to public access. A while ago there was some talk of re-opening it but I don't know what came of it. That would be a shame. Thinking about it it was 9 years ago when we went. It was part of a tour though. Yes, it was about that long ago that it popped up in the news, prompted by the change of administration from the PLA to whichever council. Or summat. Which part would be the shame bit?

Oh. Mind you if the last persons to access it were a bunch of Victorian tarts then one supposes it may have fallen into some disrepair since then.

My friend had her wedding reception up there. What with the glass floor I kept wanting to ask whether she was worried about upskirting pictures from below. I did manage to restrain myself though.

I ave bin't Globe once or twice. The architecture is cool even if you don't want to pay for a sore bum after 3 hours.
Also de sarf bank has a pleasant ambience on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

You should take in a show, nothing too crazy, Le Mis etc 🤮 I cannot abide musicals ! We'll definitely check out the theatres and hope to see something whilst there but musicals are quite popular in theatre land at present. Rog

Plenty of non-musical theatre should you care for it though.
