Wow, they are so cool...... I love stuff like this. We used to have a bloke come to the workshop regularly who used to build his own ride on steam locomotives.

Many years ago I had a mate who had a steam engine running round his garden, ge was such a buff, he liked to sit and listen to LP's, of steam engines Phil

Sadly no room anymore for a Model Railway, so I now do it the virtual way with Train Simulator

Sadly no room anymore for a Model Railway, so I now do it the virtual way with Train Simulator I've thought about running a 16mm track along the roof of my boat and wiring it to the 12v so the crew can send me up cups of coffee and fags etc.

it's narrow gauge (some Indian railway) so the scale is the same as 5" gauge models.

I 'toyed' with model railways and ended up with O 16.5 narrow gauge, but despite all my efforts I could never get the little blighters to move smoothly at crawling speeds, which I consider to be essential for realism, especially in typical mountain railways and railways run almost as tramways through towns, docks and factories, and eventually I gave up.
