Seacocks that is My 50 year old Blakes seacock came to bits a piece of cake, I had glassed over the outlet a good few years ago as we went to a bucket and chuckit after outing the grim manual jabsco sea toilet. I didn't think life with a thunderbox would be too bad, I was wrong, it's shit Now the dwarf is getting close to joining in the see who can fill the bog the fastest competition it was time to reinstate the loo along with a holding tank should we need it. I was expecting the seacock to be stuck fast and had almost resigned myself to having to cut it out, make good and fit a new valve. I had been dowsing it with plusgas for the last six weeks of so, out with the grinder, whip off the glass I capped the outlet with, few swift taps with a hammer and a drift from underneath and out it came - happy days! It needs a light lapping with fine grinding paste, when it's reassembled you need the world's most expensive grease to stop it seizing. www.asap-supplies.com/brands/blakes/blakes-seacock-grease-402209It will get a little more love now than it ever did before! The flush water valve came off no bother as well. I'm chuffed to nuts as I was expecting loads more hassle and plenty of sticky sticky to get the throne sorted.

There's time for the sticky sticky yet! Got some keel bolts to replace that need the heads capping with glass to stop the wet getting in, along with having to make 400mm diameter end caps and glass in all the hose connection for the holding tank. I've said it before, it's a death us do part job this, there's so much of us in it and we've gone without so much to do it that I couldn't bear to part with it! Dibnah said that about his road roller, it struck a chord with me. Winding into the Bow now though

One of his son's was my dad's mother's father. I think he might have been amused to know one of his great-great-grandson's had been reading about him and 'walking' round Cellardyke and Anstruther with the Google Man.
