Hey ho, our water pressure both hot and cold has become an issue recently.
Run a tap for 10-15 seconds pressure fine, then it drops off to a dribble until the pump kicks in(5/10 secs) then cycles again.
This has got progressively worse over the last month or so.
Accumulator pressure I thought and gave it a good pump up but has not seemed to make a/much? Difference.
I have no pressure gauge to hand, shall I pump more pressure in? Shall I prepare for pump to pack in or just use the gap to scrub my armpits?
Pump: jabsco PAR-MAX 2.9 Accum. : zilmet 5l - 3bar??
Thanks guys apparently she needs a shower! Smells ok to me!

Sounds like a sticky/failing pressure switch to me. What does the team think?

certainly sounds like the pressure switch to me as well

Could be the pressure switch as above. In my experience the in-built microswitch pressure switches don't last too long. I ended up fitting a square D type (I think suggested by Tony B many years back)

I would drop that acumulator back to about 0.75 bar psi 3 bar is way too high. I did once come across a similar type of problem where it was muck in the pump stopping the pressure diaphragm. THought it was switch at first.

My vote is pressure switch as well. The built ones usually have a rubber diaphragm with pressurised water on one side, fed through a small hole in a bit of plastic between pump and switch. The hole is easily blocked, and can be opened out quite a bit without effecting pump performance.
Once pump is sorted out, the accumulator can be set to just below pump cut-in pressure, or thereabouts. It's not too critical, and about half pump cut out pressure is usually about right.

Thanks all sorted! Dirty diaphragm. On the pressure switch? Thought so Yea , really should use my brain and hands before panicking! Rocket science my next project.

Another good hack is to put a relay between pressure switch and pump motor, to prolong the life of the pressure switch.
