Just watching it now and to me when Nigel Havers wanged that boat, the owner actually boarded it, I don't blame if he did. Phil

I'm at work. But we did set the sky plus on series record. Did anyone watch the series recently. Well I presume of a rerun where Alan (Tommy Walsh's mate) did up an old working boat. Saw a few boats whose names I recognised, where the owners were being interviewed. Is that the one where they converted Dover into a greenhouse? Yeah that's it. The programme was interesting if not the content. He's quite a good craftsman, but I wasent convinced but the outcome. Do you have any idea how old the programme was. I enjoyed it more when they were talking to other people as I was recognising a few boats from threads on the other side. When I first saw it is was worried it was a boat i met as my nipper was holding our boat into the bank and let go, allowing it to drift into the path of a simular looking boat although I think that one was brand new. My apologies if it was someone here. My nipper just wanted to press the buttons at shirley draw bridge.

The interior is different from the one they fitted on the show.

The show must be good few years old. It has been for sale with that fitout for ages. It started off over 100k and it has been dropping gradually for at least the last year.

That's what barge poles are for. Anyone rams you with their boat you use that pole to poke them in the head as they go past. Or in the goolies, you decide.

I enjoyed it, Lorraine Chase is telling porky pies though, she used to go out with Chris Chittel who I have known for 37 years, we used to go out on his boat Elsie. In truth she was a better steerer than Chris! The prevue of next week of her falling in brings back memories, we turned the boat around whilst she was pissed, of course she got out of the boat on the normal side.................did you know that the L and L is over five feet deep in places? Lorraine does

I've been menaced by a posh cow with a telescopic boat hook in Ely, she brandished it like a spear! Absolutely no fear of swapping paint, I was doing a parallel park for want of a better description. My wife shouted out to her to keep it away from out boat as there was no danger of getting hit. Red faced useless bag sodded off with her spear after Mrs Gazza's interjection. I don't know what she thought she was going to achieve trying to fender a boat away with an overgrown toothpick but that's a different matter!

I'm watching it now.
As a programme it's alright. I see the big mistakes they keep making although they were crashing, at least they are a bit more remorseful about it than time is.
The singers were good but can't wait for nick to mention that although they are cc'ers they are in the same pub every Tuesday.

I must admit that comment made my ears prick up .......... although to be honest it is possible, especially if motor transport is available. I used to commute sometimes long distances from my (or rather my lady friend's) boat, on occasion as much as 50 or 60 miles a day.
