The singers were good but can't wait for nick to mention that although they are cc'ers they are in the same pub every Tuesday. I must admit that comment made my ears prick up .......... although to be honest it is possible, especially if motor transport is available. I used to commute sometimes long distances from my (or rather my lady friend's) boat, on occasion as much as 50 or 60 miles a day. As the programme was blessed by crt I'm guessing the singers were comfortable in what they said. It did make me think when they said it. As just moving every 14 days does not automatically make you a ccer does it? They have been doing it for 2-3 years so I guess what ever they are doing l, they aren't getting any action against them. For the record, I have no view and don't care to be honest. Thought it might of pricked some ears that's all.

Well, let's all write to CRT and say we suspect those singers are bridge hoppers, and get them to send an EO down to their patch, eh? Shall we??π I meant that they havent had any coz they must be doing it right

At least I'm not the only one that's been cursed.
The only time I meet another boat is at a bridgehole or where another boat is Moored on a thin bit or a corner.
Never in the big wide bits.

I will try to remember that, I did quite enjoy the one I watched, and it would be good to see the Llangollen canal episode, I was there a couple of years ago and am hoping to get there again this year.

"bless me fathers for I have sinned" - I'm enjoying it... although I get irritated by the word 'Barge' all the time... dunno why.
They're a witty bunch and ok so they are crashing here and there but no worse than Tim and Pru (who /whom?) I also really like to see.
THE best thing about it however, is that directly AFTER it is our own Lovely Jane MacDonald "cruising"... YES, she's cheesy... yes, she's not very clever but she DOES have a sparkle and genuinely friendly Yorkshire charm about her
THE singing however... unforgivable lol.

I'd rather force sharpened pencils into my eyes, but I don't get to choose. As usual, after 38 years of marriage, we'll compromise and do what she says. We'll be watching Tuesday Rog

Huh... I watched this tonight for the first time fully prepared to hate it and with a curled lip sneer ready and waiting. I was pleasantly surprised, I normally detest reality programmes and coupled with celebrity is something akin to my personal hell but I found myself being drawn in by what seemed a genuine celebrity becoming a genuine regular person. (yes, they couldnt help acting up at times, but I forgave them) Lorraine (Luton Airport) Simon Cowel, Debbie Magee and Nigel Havers travel the Llangollen and looked to be enjoing it immensely. Having traveled a bit of it on generous Foxy's boat last year Im now looking forward to actually seeing the aqueduct in next weeks episode... I didn't get that far! Yes, they all seemed to be genuinely enjoying the experience and gave the impression that they would like to do more narrowboating in the future. Also, taking an interest in the history of the canal gets my vote. All in all a good advertisement for the inland waterways. Although, I do agree with Quaysider, the constant referral to barges and barging grated a bit.

!It's Simon Callow the 'luvvy' actor.
