Do you mean just towards Tamworth from Atherstone bottom lock? In which case there is definitely rubbish and water there. I am pretty sure there is elsan too but since we have pumpout I've never specifically noticed. I'd call it Bradley Green rather than Grendon, to avoid confusion with Grendon dock. There is a winding hole just a few yards the other side of the bridge, so a short reverse. canalplan.org.uk/gazetteer/in5n

Looks like a full house. Puts my mind at rest, our nicklesons dates from the early '80s so a tad out of date!

When is Glascote re-opening? It's one of the things I have to wait for before I set off.

Last date I saw was 10 March.
The elsan, rubbish and tap are at the end of the offside permanent moorings and just before the bridge.

Rog OK, I'm planning to push off from Stretton Stop on 8th March so as long as the Glascote work doesn't over-run I should be fine. I'm planning to be at Standedge Tunnel on 20th March, the day it opens so hopefully it will all dovetail. But if it doesn't then I have a Plan B....

I have heard they may over run a couple of days but to be fair the original date was the 12th. They didn't shut it til late.

Thanks, I've just re-checked the stoppages page and it looks like the work at Colwich is overrunning so I might put back my start date by a week now.
