Richard Branson used to live on it. Another reason NOT to buy it....? I think it was when he was still a mere mortal. Before he’d made all his money by importing cocaine from America smuggled in with 12inch records.

If it didn't have crt's dirty fingers all over it, I'd be interested in buying it. Nice boat for a river or inlet.

Wants close looking at as it had a lot of hull works a number of yars ago which could have been overplating.
Unless done exceedingly well this could be a can of worms I think.
The photo is interesting. I think this was taken just before the CRT lifted it and took it to Greenwalls.
Or maybe it got a new owner they put it in water and realised they didn't want it.

No it was taken before crt took it, that’s wye moored in front. I think wye is pretty badly in better condition although the interior needs work. But they are both overpriced.

It is an intriguing one. My theory is it is part of a deceased estate and they are onto the CRT and trying to get 'market value' for the boats. They are over priced but may have been allocated that value by a surveyor. Selling them too cheap could be deemed inappropriate for the estate of the deceased. Just a theory.

If you were compelled to work for a living and be faced with the basic facts of life as experienced by the majority of humans then you wouldn't be so disposed to creating fanciful theories which are almost invariably complete bollocks. Just a theory. ETA although what normally happens when assets are seized is that they are sold at auction to the highest bidder. I wonder if a surplus existed after the sale and deduction of costs how soon the erstwhile owner might receive the difference.

I wonder if a surplus existed after the sale and deduction of costs how soon the erstwhile owner might receive the difference. I know. I was offered a job today as it happens. Can you guess what it is? The trouble is that my theory may be wrong about it being a dead person but I bet I am right about someone insisting on 'market value' being achieved This isn't a normal CRT S8 sale. In addition to this I am rather surprised that Thunderboat members would have detailed ownership knowledge about other people's boats. Sometimes wild theories are a lot better than old fashioned assumptions. Do I own my boats? How would you know this unless you have access to CRT or EA databases? If you actually do have access to the databases via someone who works for either organisation then they are risking their job sharing this detail with you. Data Protection is a serious topic. You basically don't know who the legal owner of a boat is unless it is you. There are all sorts of different arrangements occurring in life. I overheard a couple on a boat explaining to their young daughter that they give her cash so it doesn't turn up on her bank account and the DWP don't need to know. Fraud is a bit rude but its the way to go and far more common than most people think.

They both complement each other, the first being a showcase for his wares. Imagine the rush when he's down to the raffia hat and socks.
