anybody know what's occurring ? Leeks! We've been invaded by the welsh. Leaks, fixing the wash walls. A good few bits of work going on on the dark side of the hill between Sowerby and summit.

Looks like it, drove past again today and there is evidence of some work going in the occasional, pile of stones and some orange net fencing stuff. Presumably to stop people falling into the (empty) canal. not much sign of any actual work taking place though...

You do know Mytholmroyd is pronounced 'Staithes'. Not quite. interesting that the caravan club site there, were we are staying, is called Hebden Bridge, presumably because nobody has a clue how to pronounce it. Hebden Bridge is actually yon side of Mytholmroyd.

After putting up all that orange netting, presumably in their dayglo yellow safety vests, they need a rest.

ISTR it was called 'Lower Clough Foot' at one time - I noticed a sign on the road nearby with that on too.

Just had notification of another drained pound, between l40 and l41, a hole in the wash wall going under the towpath. Not that anyone is going anywhere. Must walk over for a looksee.
