Some lovely windlasses ! I don't know any hnbc members so I can't bid on anything If I could I would go for lot 80... a lot of other tempting items but 80 is the one for me.

Very funny but do you know a hnbc member I can bribe. This thing looks like a closed shop Probably a Good Thing to be fair as it coyld get rather expensive.

Surely they'd get more for it if they stuck it all on ebay, and they wouldn't have to hire a village hall?

I suspect there may be some people with self importance issues which override the apparent aim of converting the items into cash. Other possibility is that the "ooh look nobody else is allowed to buy this shit" aspect of it could trigger a bidding war between people with money to burn. I've got enough windlasses anyway and no money to burn. I still like lot 80. I wonder what it will fetch?
