Brother in law has had a small stroke, leg numb, though he's talkative as ever, so not to bad. So off up to Stranraer this morning.
A bugger, this stroke business, its in the family, wife had minor TIAs several years ago, younger sister had major stroke at 44, paralysed down right side, but she still gads about. Keep up with the annual mot at the docs folks.

strokes are a worry in our family... my mum (and her mum)had her first in her late 50s... my grandad early 60s, uncles and aunts on my dads side too - I've been on blood pressure tablets since my early 30s as a result and it's still on the high side of normal. They're cruel. (strokes not tablets)

As Quaysider says, they're cruel. Hope you find things not too bad in Stranraer (well at least no worse than it normally is having to be in Stranraer )

Youngest used to work from Stranraer until he started this Exploring..he still goes up there in-between Islands. Some people are recommended to take half aspirin a day as stroke prevention..or were in my days as a nurse..depends on what causes strokes in their family history line..
I hope he makes full recovery.
