For me it's more interesting that there is no comment from Corbyn yet.
Just found this on BBC news "But Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn said the US action "risks escalating the war in Syria still further"." So I guess sarin on kids is not serious enough to do anything but wave a protest banner.

Please don't mention Corbyn, ruining the Labour party and sending my blood pressure through the roof. Phil

Apparently Syria crossed the 'red line' with chemical attacks and reason airfield targeted is to send a message out that chemical weapons total no no..he didn't hit the palace..so perhaps they'll realise..or maybe not. I did this time listen to Trumps speech.

I have a problem in so much as the rebels have form on gassing their own side! They are losing, and have nothing to lose with this action[if they did do it]. The Sarin gas has in the past been in rebel hands so who really knows who used it. I do know that Smith was one of the UN team that refused to go check on stocks when they were all supposed to have been disposed off, they used the excuse that if its gone they would never have been able to find it anyway, and the area isnt safe. I do think that world wars get started for less than this though

what I find odd is that the Turks put out a statement, after doing some autopsies on victims, that they died of gas poisoning delivered by aircraft of the Assad regime, but they would not elaborate. How does a pathologist reach that conclusion (or was it a deliberate piece of fake news like WMD in Iraq)?
Perhaps Trump's advisors have put 2 and 2 together, decided it makes five, and bombed Syria at a convenient time when Trump has the full attention of the Chinese, and after saying he would sort out North Korea.
all a bit too convenient to my way of thinking.

Why would Syria use chemical weapons when they are winning the civil war? It doesn't add up.

I would agree with you more fully but for the fact that Assad's regime has shown just as much contempt for civilian lives
