Great news! Ramzan has stopped persecuting gays and lesbians in Chechnya!
He says he is very sorry, he realises the error of his ways, and promises it will never, ever happen again.
You see - online petitions really DO work!!

I guess Foxy posting the random stuff he does opens eyes to events in the world. I, for one do not seek out all these random facts...I'm not sure though if it educates me or causes anxiety...do I need to know all the awful stuff? I just dunno really whether my head in the sand 'norm' is right or not. What I cannot change do I need to be aware of? Ive had another thought..is it right to not want to know?...life has dealt me shit...real shit...not the terrible stuff Foxy posts but bad enough that I hid under chairs in the dark in abject fear that 'stuff' would get me...Ive gone through that and now life is sorta good...is it OK not to want to know or feel the pain of others?..I feel kinda guilty for wanting to enjoy what I now have. No, never feel guilty for enjoying what you have now, you have earned that enjoyment. The world needs more people who are happy with what they have, it will help influence others and maybe your example of contentment will help someone else be happy with what they have.

Thanks..I find I'm so much more at peace keeping away from mainstream populated areas..to-day wander through the woods, stopped to make mini bamboo and reed raft to float down stream..its enough, yet i don't ever see others sitting messing around with bit of bamboo and few reeds...

Oh I think I could quite happily join you with bamboo and reeds. I spend many a happy hour wandering along the canal just seeing what I can find. Sometimes if I am really still and quiet the rabbits come quite close, who knows what I will find this weekend

Jane and I set off to walk along the GU towpath, from Campbell park to Pear Tree Marina at MK (about 2 miles) yesterday at about 12.30pm.
Now MK is quite a busy place, but the canal corridor is beautiful.
We saw a fox, in beautiful condition, only 40 to 60 feet away from the path. It stood watching us for several minutes, before trotting away into undergrowth.
Amazing what's around, but you aren't always lucky enough to see and be aware.

Rog It isn't just luck, most people walk/drive past the most incredible sights without ever being aware of what they are missing. Always in a rush to be somewhere else.
