I did go to the Dogs one evening as it happens. We had a team night out to Catford Dog Track complete with meal and they came round the tables to take your bets. Food was cardboard, beer was plastic and I didnt win. I think its now a housing estate I looked on Google and apparently there used to be 15 greyhound racing tracks in London, now there is just one left, Wimbledon, and this is due to close next year. No loss of course, because greyhound stadiums were largely patronised by thickos who didn't do the classics at a proper school. I used to love the classics at school. Peter and Jane books, then we progressed to Stig of the Dump.

I know as I'm writing this that I'm going to regret asking, but........What is a greyhound racing supporter? See TellyMackus's post on previous page. Ah.........Well probably not far off Para one sounds a bit like Cpt Yossarian though.

I actually did study Latin at school, and although I've forgotten most of it now, I believe the greeting one should use if meeting TellyMackus on the cut is "Salve nauta".

But Latin is one of the classics, no? It is, but Telemachus wouldn't understand Latin. Then I suggest Telemachus starts learning how to use Google to translate things.

In fairness, we've actually met Mr TellyMackus on the cut, and he doesn't come across half as thick in real life as he does on here. Some people adopt an "internet persona", and stupidity seems to be part of his.
