Currently on a 24 hour jolly carp fishing at Burwell Brick Pit, the local lake I'm a member of. The weather is lovely, the swim is baited and I've fished all afternoon without any action, but I've seen carp in the swim. Currently at the local indian having some rather nice tandoori before returning to fish through the night, which will hopefully be more productive. All in all a rather splendid way to chill out.

I miss fishing so much, hope you catch but on these kinda days t doesnt matter, a good chill out an away from the stress of life. I am more into stalking Carp though, rather be on the move and more chance of a catch fro me. You a modern bait fisherman ? boilies along with the bleepers, i have used them a few times but alays gone back to the good owd fashioned corn and Blue Warbies  Prawns on my local are a killer on the right hot day for bottom of a sausge of Warbies on top. Cant beat free lined doggies of big flake ee by eck the good owd days. soon be back at it. Hope you get a PB kida if there is chance in your lodge.  |

I used to annoy the lads on my local lake who would spend a few days carp session catching a few with these boilies and all the gubbins. I would go on nice summrr evenings like now and surface fish with either Chum Mixer or Warbies. Easy have two or three in an evening. Granted never had any over 20lb but heck its a buzz that mettod. It does get me why the lads never surfaced fished on warm days whe they are doing nothing and just fish smack hard on the bottom when the fish can be seen on top. This lake is average 10 foot deep. As you will know the carp can go barmy as the day colls down. I need to go bet the gear out i think and have a dabble now. MMMMMmmmmm today is either sanding and painting the boat or FISHING |

Had a really lovely 9lb tench at 4 this morning but no carp, but hey, it was a nice session with glorious weather.

Well must say fishing not my bestest way to pass time..don't do the 'baiting' or getting hooks out...just so uncivilised...but I do enjoy sitting on river bank for ever n a day and once went fjord fishing with son...i elected to make coffee instead of dealing with fish I'd caught...
Hey ho each to their own...fortunately son enjoyed the fishing so not wasted trip.
