Has anyone else tried canned craft beer? There is now a fantastic choice of canned craft beers, both domestic and imported. Obviously, the UK stuff is better! I discovered it in a micropub in Hebden Bridge and was amazed by the quality. Tesco has quite a range. I'm not talking about the normal beers and lagers that have always been offered. The cans are lined to prevent a metallic taste. They are often unfined so might have a slight haze. They probably don't qualify as real ale due to the canning but they are still 'live'. I'm just gobsmacked by the choice available. The Leeds brewery 'North' has a good range. They're abot £1.50 in Tesco.

Sounds nice but I have to be careful with "real ales" because I get a headache. Not with all of them and its not a joke but occasionally just one bottle or can of a real ale will give me a headache within about half an hour. I can drink lager or cider till the cows come home but real ale is a real problem

Must be something in the water they use for the brewing process. Incidentally, the Bass red triangle logo, is the oldest trade mark symbol in the world. Well, that's what the fella from Bass told us on our brewery trip many many years ago. Just in case it comes up in a quiz like.
