I like the photo of the thing in Finland but it does not appear to be in any way similar to the river Tyne !

Its one thing to float serenely down a meandering backwater and another to travel down the Tyne...though maybe that one in Finland had its moments

Well I'm all for people having fun but reckless stupidity is another matter.
By all means it should go ahead but let's not have any post event bleating about the emergency services being unable to save anybody who dies.
And an agreement for the families of the injured and decreased to pay recovery and NHS costs.

Piss-heads going down the River Kerava which flows into Vantaa ('city') and joins the River Vantaa near where we used to live (Torpparinmäki). Rubber dinghies, plastic dinghies, condoms and beer cans strewn all over the river bank. For someone else to clean up of course. |

Look up 'kaljakellunta' on Google for pictures, I'm sure there are some. Some Finns are disgusting. Smashing beer bottles by throwing them to the ground is a never-ending pastime, and the pavements are full of spit and phlegm.
