Arriving on site for my job tonight there was a homeless man in the bushes outside with 2 shopping trolley of assorted crap, His personal crap I mean. He was of Jewish persuasion, beard, hat etc. I asked him if he was ok, he replied he was and that he was moving on shortly, I offered him a brew and a packet of crisps, and there was no rush, he steadfastly refused either. I went inside to start work but looked outside 5 mins later and yes, he had gone, Just got me wondering why he wouldn't of liked a brew or crisps as they were offered?
Next went outside to get my label maker out my van and there was another old fella in a red sleeping bag all tucked up for the night right outside the door under the canopy, nearly fell over the fecker, I did the same and asked if he was ok, yes thanks was his reply.
I offered to make him a brew, he nearly bit my hand off, I made him the brew & I then said I've coffee and sugar but no milk sorry...
His reply with a pointing motion was 'theres a Tesco express 10 minutes up the road '
I kindly refused his nice offer of me traipsing up the road for milk for in his brew and came back inside to work thinking 'cheeky bugger'!!
Well tonight's made me a little sad at the first fella refusing any help but quite happy / cheery inside at the second cheeky buggers attitude.
That's all, just thought Id share a light hearted tale from tonight!
