Oh dear ! I had that mooring as a "ghost mooring" for a year in 2012 and it was about £1600 iirc. i never moored there. Not very nice there.
CRT have just opened non residential gated offside moorings on Limehouse Cut (65ft widebean) with electric start price £9600. On watersidemoorings webshite now.
I currently pay £9k -10% early payment discount for a 72ft widebeam mooring, residential with on street cpz residents parking etc, in Limehouse. I expect that'll go up not that I need it long term anyway.
Its all going mad. £8k for Browns meadow is truly bizarre or is it a scam.

76'9 is an unusually long mooring and there are some boats such as a few dutch barges which are over 72ft and might find it impossible to find any mooring. If there were two of these big boats competing (student accommodation anyone?) This could explain a stupidly high price.
I would expect slumming it on a barge might be very cool for certain people and if you can get enough on the boat the £8k might rapidly reappear - cash !
