You did not say whether they were nimbus or strato-cumulus clouds, so you qualify only for a Crackerjack pencil. Sorry.

I recognised the clouds because the one time I have been there I was considerably more depressed than I usually am ! And the clouds were the same ! No idea what type of clouds they are.

Just back from a most interesting walk around Hoghton Tower near Blackburn - on the north-west side a view to Preston and the Blackpool Tower! Very high railway viaduct crossing the River Darwen in its gorge.
