Just a heads up, boaters need to be aware of the new Canal and River Trust Act. Actually, it doesn't really exist, other than in CRT's imagination, but boaters should be aware of it anyway. Probably.

Very good! The best way to think about it is to forget words (which can be made to mean anything you like) and meet people face to face. Then you get the truth.

Shouldn't worry to much about bye laws..I got threatened with breaking section 444a of the Education act due to my inability to get 'difficult' son to school...I phoned them up and offered them my son so they could ensure law complied with...they told me not to bother and declined...so all these acts and laws are just paper pushing exercises to keep Mr Jobs worth employed....maybe...

Pull that sign down and chuck it in the Cut. What a cheek!

CRT have never prosecuted anyone for breach of any bylaw.
There is no such thing as the canal and river trust act, and bylaws are not an act of Parliament but legislation authorised by the secratry of state.
Whoever worded that sign needs a brain scan.

Should this topic be moved to the "Canal and River Trust" subforum?
Just tied up the boat 10 minutes ago after another long day and noticed this topic appears to be incorrectly placed.
