He is heading for more trouble by using the M logo, font and colouring of his sign to imitate Morrisons as he did with Sainsbury's. But very witty.

Bit of harmless fun..bet it raised a few smiles..article says Morrisons doesn't mind..hope they just let him get on with it...though suppose if the place is a real dive they could poss object if it reflects on their image...

Near to where I used to live in Spain there was a little English supermarket called Spainsburys. I don't think they ever got any trouble for it.
I also knew a lady called Heather that called her bar Heatherspoons. She ended up getting a legal threat from Wetherspoons about it but told them to fuck off. It was featured in the British press so she got a bunch of free publicity from it.

I read a few years back that the Easygroup who own Easyjet wanted someone else to stop using 'Easy' in their trade name. I believe the court judge told Easygroup to 'do one' as the word 'easy' is a word of the English language and anyone may use it.

The best chipshop in Ely is run by some Chinese peeps. It's called Alan Fish bar or something similar. When it opened as Alan fish..I suggested "Alan's" would be better. The chap smiled at my naivety, "Then People would think it was run by an Englishman".
