Nope, but I took some pics of mason marks in the Barrowford locks. I shall soon start writing captions for the photos, which I'll put up here in August. Got a good one of a spider in a wash basin! Almost took a train from Burnley to Tod/Walsden, but now we are (almost) in the Aire valley. The Witch Way bus goes Skipton - Burnley. We walked over the Aire twice this afternoon. Steam train tomorrow & Tuesday times at Skipton 1112 & 1938, we might see the morning one go by.

The heiroglyphs are the masons marks, done in best "handwriting" on the facing stones edging the tunnel mouth. Did you meet the cow?

You should also take the train to Appleby and back, over Ribblehead Viaduct. A grand day out Grommit.

The landlady of The Anchor Inn, Salterforth, was very attractive, and showed us her stalactites.

Just back from ringing the bells at Gargrave. A pint of 'Boltmaker' in The Mason's Arms and a scary walk back past Bank Newton Locks and along an unsurfaced sunken (and probably haunted) lane. Invited to ring at Skipton for tomorrow but last bus from there 1945 which is pathetic.
