Having only the use of one arm is a balls ache, I got fed up of relying on Mrs Gazza to help me when I broke my arm. Still, not as bad as the fella we met on the IOM ferry with two broken arms, smashed up GSF600F dumped at the side of the car deck was the first clue, found the owner with his mates in the bar, old boys was drinking Guinness through a straw, he seemed fairly upbeat, must have had some really good mates to help him with the rest of life's mundane necessities!

Hope it's over and you're fully recovered quickly.
My brother, the fool, had both done at the same time. Not one of his better ideas.

I can't see the picture for some reason, pozzibly a bad connection.
Beer is a good anaesthetic in my experience. I call it "back oil" if I have a sore back I find it can help.
Post operation pain may be better treated by prescribed medication though.
I hope it all sorts itself out and that sort of thing, before too long.

I've had lumps removed from my hands 3 times and whilst it is probably nothing like as bad as yours, I found keeping the injured bit at collar bone height all the time makes a huge difference to the pain level. May be worth trying.

The pic was working earlier and showed a very down-in-the-dumps Quaysider with his arm in a sling sitting in the passenger seat of a car... it was quite a contrast to his cheery avatar and I hope he's up to speed again soon, particularly as he is, for me anyway, one of the most respected posters on Thunderboat.

btw - despite it hurting a bit in night, this morning (it's still hurting but I'm being a big brave boy still) I feel much more normal (hair colour and bender-ness a side) :-)
ONE handed typing is a slow process though and I'm not looking forward to toileting as earlie my twin set go twanged by the elastic on my undies...
writing of that area - when coming back from theatre yesterday in a wheel chair, a nurse coming towards me MOUTHED at the nurse pushing my chair that "HIS TESCITLES ARE HANGING OUT".... on closer inspection (I had shorts on anyway) it was my cork key-float clipped to the belt tag... ... oh how they all laughed. I on the other hand now have a complex, wishing I matched the size of the float... assuming everyone else DOES!
