btw - despite it hurting a bit in night, this morning (it's still hurting but I'm being a big brave boy still) I feel much more normal (hair colour and bender-ness a side) :-) ONE handed typing is a slow process though and I'm not looking forward to toileting as earlie my twin set go twanged by the elastic on my undies... writing of that area - when coming back from theatre yesterday in a wheel chair, a nurse coming towards me MOUTHED at the nurse pushing my chair that "HIS TESCITLES ARE HANGING OUT".... on closer inspection (I had shorts on anyway) it was my cork key-float clipped to the belt tag... ... oh how they all laughed. I on the other hand now have a complex, wishing I matched the size of the float... assuming everyone else DOES! I've always thought the cork balls a little small.........

The photo shows up on his blog Ellis the boat. I must warn everyone though, it's a very sad faced, brave, ginger soldier with a bashed head in the photo. Can I suggest, you don't use that photo on the new Hotel boat Ellis web site Rog

Hope you get better soon, well you are since you started this thread by sounds. I just escaped having it done myself after years of dragging gas cyinders around. I had to rest my hands and took years to recover and still suffer a little. Not nice and i cant think how bad it isto have it as bad as you as it was bad enough for me in early stages. Look after your self kida, have a virtual pint of JD on me

From my point of view, as a woman, a larger set would not necessarly be an appealing feature. Mind you with that said, I somehow doubt that my "appealing features" would be of little interest to you either. although I do like fire engine reds

can you tell typing is about all I can do at the moment - and even that is slow one handed...
Latest update - WHEN instinctively trying to catch a fly, clapping both hands together when one has a fresh wound, is NOT a good idea... I now have tingling in all fingers :-(
I think gin is called for - purely medical of course :-)

Have you tried Haworth's rhubarb gin - neat? It's delicious. Did antone suggest an ice pack? When I broke my ankle the hospital loaned be a sort of boot connected to a flask you'd fill with ice and water, I found it very soothing. You could fill it with gin and tonic.

Overusing a computer gave me tennis and golfers elbow, shoulders up around me ears and left my forearms, backs of hands and elbows in agony. After a year off I turned myself into a mechanic and could barely grip a spanner, but after a few years I'm not too bad.
Using a mouse and keyboard brings it all back but dabbing on a phone is ok.
What caused yours?

26 YEARS in IT followed by 2 years restoring vintage fairground rides - ergo, lots of banging, grinding, painting and woodwork.
Early retirement will be a godsend!

26 YEARS in IT followed by 2 years restoring vintage fairground rides - ergo, lots of banging, grinding, painting and woodwork. Early retirement will be a godsend! Vintage vehicles for me. Banging grinding painting and woodwork! 15 years CAD designing up to 18 hours a day, barely any holiday. But I retired at 55 and was nearly 30 before I started. It's amusing that with one arm bandaged up due to overusing a computer, there you are still tapping away
