Walking back from the town centre just now we saw: - the River Don flowing inland! Three hours ago it was going the other way into the Ouse! - the big blue swing bridge open to allow three barges into the Aire & Calder. First one Phyllis, second no name obvious, third Syntan. Syntan had written on the side The Beverley Barge Preservation Society. Syntan now parked up just behind us! (with the other two I just noticed).

You sound as if you are having a fab trip....I'm back haunting towpaths in London....witnessed canal rage when trip boat v I'm not giving way had stand off...trip boat had to reverse down canal....all in all good wander...back to Horror House soon as time once again for knotweed fight to commence....
