I find Bombay Sapphire to have a bit of a funny aftertaste. I got given a bottle of Martin Miller's recently which was very nice.

The range of Bathtub gins are very good. Williams GB is also excellent. So many to choose, so little time Rog

I have always drunk Bombay Saphire, however having tried Aldi Gin I was surprised its a better drink the Bombay Saphire. I shall give it go when I get home or if I find it in an Aldi here in France, what's the name they give it?

Gin is disgusting. In the 1950s, women used to squirt it up their fannies to give themselves an abortion.

(And vodka for that matter) I can tell you from my time in Russia, the home of vodka, that it's a serious faux pas there for a male to drink vodka in any way other than neat. Asking far a bottle of tonic water to go with it is tantamount to asking for a kicking.

The choice I made was disappointing to say the least. and for whiskey glenfiiddich. Beyond that price point I wouldnt appreciate any difference or wouldnt like them. Glenfiddich. Duh. You'll probably have to go to a 'proper shop' to find these, but shouldn't be difficult to find one now that the Internet-thingy has been invented. Try: Glen Keith, Ben Nevis, Blair Athol, Craigellachie, Edradour, Glenfarclas, Glendronach, Imperial, Linkwood, Longmorn, Mannochmore, Rosebank. If disappopinted I'd be happy to buy the rest off you - provided you haven't been swigging out of the bottle, but have used a glass. You could have had it for nowt foxy, or perhaps a go at steering your boat for a day. But it's longg gone now, it lasted a few weeks as I kept going back to it trying to convince myself it must be ok 'because it wasn't cheap, adding a bit of still mineral water and ice did help.

As a matter of idle curiosity, what was the malt you selected please?

My favourite. The best of the Islay whiskies in my view.
Bruichladdich from the same island is completely different and has none of the smokiness of Laphroig.

I meant of the distilleries I mentioned. Glenfiddich is OK for cleaning the garage floor.
