Telemachus is not a "continuous cruiser" because he does not bona fide use his boat for navigation throughout the period of the license. He has a mooing or other place where the boat can be zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Why not?
He's got to move every 14 days same as me.
The licence is EXACTLY the same as mine. He has just chosen to pay for a mooring additionally as it suits his needs. You the same.
We're all just boaters.
That's it.
I don't understand the logic of the divisive language that is used.

🤣😃🤣😂 typical Nick tripe. He who accused boats of cming on the k&a during his outbound trip, then stated they had all gone when he was returning. Thou doth spout more shit than a cesspit. 🤣 Yeabut clearly CRT had been in and bulldozed hordes of junk boats into the crusher while we were in Bristol.

Rog Someome with a home mooring does not have to ever move his boat when its on its paid for mooring. Someone without a home morning does have to move their boat at regular intervals (in theory) hence the difference.

Once a boat with a home mooring leaves it, that boat becomes liable to the same terms and conditions as a boat that continuously cruises. Now you can manipulate, interpret, or regurgitate whatever rubbish you like, but the fact is, there is no such thing as a cc licence. Yet.

But all licences permit cruising continuously. It's the boat owners who decide to take moorings, and then whinge that those who don't pay for a mooring are 'getting away ' with something. It's not the factual inaccuracy that's irritating, rather the ignorance that it represents. Even Telemachus is a continuous cruiser at present Rog TellyMackus is cruising at the moment, but he has a home mooring therefore he is not a continuous cruiser. Yes he is, when not parked at his home mooring. Subject to the same 'rules and regulations' as we are.

Seems perfectly reasonable to me! well maybe just the bit about ... Anyway this just goes to show that if you think you have a valid point and want to make it publicly, doing it calmly and precisely is the way to do it. Doing it by means of an over-egged rant is always going to be unsuccessful (well, unless you are Donald Trump I suppose). Which bit did I miss? Rog The bit that I've left in above.

Subject to the same 'rules and regulations' as we are. But he didn't sign the continuous cruising declaration when he applied for his licence. So he's a boater with a home mooring who cruises a lot, not a continuous cruiser.

That section of the law doesn't apply to those with a home mooring. And no, we are not all just boaters. Boaters are people who cruise their boats, know how to operate them or at least are interested in learning how to, know how to moor (suitable place, tying up correctly) etc etc. But there are plenty of people with boats who are interested in none of these things, they just want somewhere to live cheaply. They would be just as happy in a caravan if only they were allowed to plonk the caravan down wherever they felt like, and live in it.

I think it just said "Do you want a boat licence? If so, give us money."
