She came by us last night being towed by another boat.
Hope the engine isn't damaged.

Had a call from the Police this morning.
Apparently it was a break in/theft of the boat. The front door was smashed (not visible because of the cratch).
The keys were inside and stolen by the thief, and that's why the boat was being towed.
The boat was found abandoned near bridge 107. It was bow hauled by the Police to bridge 104 where there was road access.

Once you've broken in to a boat, it's not going to be hard to get the engine started, about 50% of them seem to use the standard Lucas ignition key but I suspect that many boats, like mine, could be hot-wired in seconds.

Once you've broken in to a boat, it's not going to be hard to get the engine started, about 50% of them seem to use the standard Lucas ignition key but I suspect that many boats, like mine, could be hot-wired in seconds. i guessed it wouldent be hard. they are definatly not sophisticated systems. my point was more would it invalidate many insurance policies? covered by negligence. my dad showed me hotwiring on an old Mark 2 landrover. couple of wires and a carefully placed screwdriver.
