Yep, and what's wrong with that may I ask? You've been "womanised" 🤣 Erm, yes well I suppose that's true. I do like them though. As an aside, I was wondering Martin, if it might be an idea to eventually put all the photos in a separate place so we can see them together. It would also prevent them being separated by lots of pointless posts like this one.

It's actually quite interesting watching you life change, making allowances to accommodate your partner 🤣🤣 (soppy git) 😂

Delta closed the entry thread and I then I pulled all the entries into one single post in a new 'voting' thread. Comments could still be added to the thread but all the entries were in one single opening post, numbered with a poll above. thunderboat.boards.net/thread/649/photo-competition-voting-thread-vote

Anyway, good idea Martin, I'm looking forward to seeing more entries. One of these days I'll get back to using my SLR, my phone is making me very lazy with photos (that was taken on my iPhone).

I don't have an SLR but rather a fixed lens super zoom Panasonic and am finding I am carrying it less and less too in favour of my Samsung Galaxy S6 (which of course you carry with you anyway). It takes some stunning pictures and video and has a full range of manual settings if you want these. Only the fixed lense and digital zoom let it down really. I doubt in 10 years time we will see anyone carrying cameras unless you're a true professional or a 'Pap' of course. - even those have been known to use phones too.

I haven't seen a mobile phone yet with a) a socket for a tripod b) a socket for flash cables. It's really very lazy and sloppy just pulling your phone out and snapping and expecting to win a competition.

Lazy it might be but some of the best pictures you will see are captured spontaneously on smartphones or cameras with their setting on 'Auto'. The members will determine what is the best picture and it may well be something caught on an ancient iPhone 3G or the very latest Nikon DSLR, time will tell.

Sunset at Ashton Lock. I'm firmly in the mobile phone photography camp, and even then I don't use it all that much! Still, its much cheaper and easier taking snapshots with a phone than the old days of 110 or 35mm then getting rinsed by boots or whoever to see the not very good pictures you took as a lasting memory!
