I think the seller has listed that a few times as I'm sure I seen it a few weeks ago.

Ha. All that stuff that the missus stores in my engine room would fit in there I'm sure. On the other hand, that would leave a great big space for her to store more stuff! So, sorry, no help from me I'm afraid. Tom

So far my sensible half is winning... I tell myself that by the time Ive filled it with stuff, I'll be so top heavy the slightest swell will roll the boat round like a porpoise! You have swells on your canals, do you? Cool! Are they more prevalent at high tide, or low? You don't want to buy that box. It's not that well made, and it isn't secure. That custom made top isn't going to keep anyone out, and chances are, if there were a theft, the top would get stolen too. If you want a box, make one yourself with a solid, lockable top with solar panels on the top flaps.

We are one Hebden Bridge to Lancaster link but car is Toyota Auris, I'm sure box won't fit. We have a towing hook so if you can find someone with a trailer...?

That IS interesting - they are by Lock 12. I wonder which side. The west, I bet. Stranded like a goldfish that's jumped out of its bowl. Lock 12 was all silted up at the top on Boxing Day, trapping all the boats between it and Lock 15 where there is a landslip.

I'd say the seller is polite. Looks like a genuine buy. Go for it!

This reminds me of those old cartoons where there would be a devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other.
As I recall, though, in those cartoons the loser always got to tell the winner, "I told you so!"

Lock 12? Hebden? It'll be infested with hippies. Are they reefer knots on the tarp cover?
