my god, you're really dredging the bottom of the barrel today, aren't you? What I found more frightening was that an American spokesman said that, in the 5 days since the Las Vegas shooting, 150 people have been shot dead in the US, but it doesn't make the news because it is so routine.

Yes but its not news.
News would be something like who had won the TB photo competition or what Mr Stabby is up to now he has no canalside scrotes to violently murder.

I was in the pub and BBC news were all over it. we did joke that it was probaly just some drunk driver. probaly not far from the truth.

The thing is if it was an accident rather than deliberate he was probably relieved he hadnt been shot by the army of police that turned up. Crashing a car into a crowd in the capital must be a high risk thing to do in the current climate.

The driver is being held on 'suspicion of dangerous driving', police say it's not a terrorist incident although the arrest seems disproportionate with the charge doesn't it.
Edit to add...he faces further questioning today

Like that rubbish reference to Dubai taken from one of those '20 most amazing fat arses' type websites that are just full of crap.

Quite a lot of what you think is rubbish is stuff that fits with my views of Dubai (yes I have worked there). Alarmist media reporting? I sort of agree with you there, even the BBC were reporting the accident using words that I thought were inappropriate until any proper analysis of what happened had occurred. Aim some/most of your ire at the media.
