I nipped into Aldi to get some washing powder and cane away with this little lot. L-R:- Wales x 2, Stockport, Yorkshire, Dudley, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset. Either 99p or £1.29 a bottle 🍻👍

Where is the Exmoor Beast... Up on Exmoor? It was a snatch and grab job, I didn't have time to browse the beer isle, these were in the weekly specials section that seems to resemble a badly organised jumble sale.

Not beer-related but Aldi have these on special at the mo at £24.99. www.aldi.co.uk/stove-fan/p/072454062316400I bought one, and although I wouldn't swear my children's lives away that it actually works, it does provide some visual distraction, a bit like the elephant's leg going round and round in a kebab shop window.

The Bank's Amber bitter at 82p a bottle is brilliant (at that price).
I will enjoy sampling many of those beers in bottles. Tried most on draught already. Reverend James is wonderful on draught.
Need some good recipes for accompaniment.

Special Brew purchased from Patel's Discount Cash and Carry has a far lower base price per unit of alcohol.

Easier drinking but harder to get hold of is Carlsberg Elephant beer @7.5℅ I used to get it from the employees shop, when I left I managed to find it at Waitrose but they have since stopped doing it. More go than Export but not as head banging as a gutful of Special Brew. 🍻👍
