Been to the garden centre on way home , got 2 led light strings for my costume, the festive bauble dept is fully stocked and ready to go. There was even a life-like plastic full size fox in a manger in the foyer. Gordon Riggs, Walden, if anybody needs one. The ships figure head was a fox in bed, biting a dead man's ...... I forget the rest.

Right so if I bring a plant in from the farmers field...I'll have knotweed in my personal space???...hmmm don't think I'll jump on that band wagon.... But thank you for enlightening me....

Last year we got some attractive twigs, sprayed them silver, hung baubles on etc. Cheap and cheerful , definitely bringing the hedge in....

actually this has just reminded me ...... I didn't put up any Christmas lights last year (found the set I had was missing so many sections it looked silly and I object to paying seasonal prices) But in the January sales I bought a couple of sets at less than half price ...... must remember that I have them and dig them out of the store ...... but not yet
