I get what Gazza and Mr staby are saying but I just can't help feeling a bit of empathy towards any human being out in these conditions. They seem to be settling in for the night , so they must like it . Well, why don't you invite them in for the chance to sit in the warm and shit in a cardboard box?

I don't have that much empathy for them, after all they are anglers.

Does the pope shit in the Vatican?
I once saw a fisherman all set up for the night with his little tent and bite detectors etc etc and a little Honda EX350 generator and a telly!
Lovely little generator .

I went out this afternoon for an hour in the strong winds and heavy rain with my lure rod. Had an 8lb pike. Was cold and wet when I got in but soon warmed up with the stove on. Feel much better for being out. I either fish or kayak every day, very often both.

I have no sympathy for any of them... especially the idiots that fish from lock landings, river lock landings, or near the water point I need to use - in fact, I'm thinking of enlisting the services of "Mr Stabby" to obliterate them all!

It's okay they are all packing up and going home, obviously in time for Sunday dinner.
