Reminds me of Mr Stabby's Welshman sex joke "mother was watching". I don't want reminding of this sort of thing. why ever not, was magnettt fffishing on the pontywotsit a black ops exercise. Something about Welsh leeks? Easy way to refill, if water is low at the horseshoe falls, collect the flying spittle from Welsh speakers, bucketloads abound.

I saw a Crt staff member pull the plug out once and panic. He was a manager so had to get one of the bank staff to put it back in. I've had a couple of plugs out but they were decommissioned ones. People say it as a joke but there actually were plugs in some places with chains attached. Aiui there is one in the middle of pointy silty acqueduct which is where the news story woman found her mortar. Not sure if it is magnetic thought. Did you ever see that photo of the ponty cunty draining, with a bloke standing above it looking like he was having an enormous piss?

Yes the ones I pulled out were like that. I wonder if the one to drain the acqueduct may be secured in such a way as to prevent accidental removal. It would be quite serious if someone did get it out unauthorised !! It looks more like a sluice gate on the side of the aquaduct than a plug, I didn't raise it to make sure as I didnt have a spanner with me!

That's interesting. Thanks. I haven't been over pointy silty acqueduct since 1999 so can't remember it very well. A sluice would definitely make more sense than a plug.
Whoever wrote the Wikipedia article thinks there is a plug but Google image search shows water coming out the side so I think the sluice is more likely. Or maybe both ?
