shes only been in nabo for 3years yet she is now the chairperson! They have under 400 members, so not much choice really. I bet Tizard was gutted when Ridgeway was voted in over him 😂😂 it shows how much political ambition she has.

Even stole one of my articles and claimed it as her own a year or so ago. Caught herself out by stating it was her work, but didn't notice before reposting it the mark I used to copyright my stuff.

I realise that thunderboat may suffer from a clique problem as well. I hate cliques. I don't think TB has a 'clique' at all. Yes, there are members who post regularly and who have gotten to know each other well, but I have never detected any snobbishness and as we have all seen, new members have been always welcomed warmly, and there has been no stifling of the freedom to say what anyone likes here (well, there has, but only when really necessary. Thunderboat's owner has used his discretion and kept moderation at a minimum). It is refreshingly normal here. It's like driving and not having speed cameras to nab you, even though you try not to speed deliberately we all know we can go over a bit, down a hill for instance. Moderators should be seen and not give out flashes!

"gotten"? Is that a word? It is, and in common usage in the US although not generally used in British English.

I know he (naughtyfox) will never divulge this information as he has been warned by the powers that be. Â Yes. I wrote Magnetman Blabberer that Git on that barge darn East London way knees up muvver bran innit. Â .....so.... you got it, then? Â I hope I haven't divulged too much 'inside info' with this calendars lark. I have tried to keep the names, addresses, phone numbers to myself. When I get home I shall be deleting much of the details so that even I won't remember/know. Â Thanks to all who have trusted me. All in all it looks to have worked fairly well. Â As Athy said: Emerald Fox is weird but harmless. I have no problem with anybody having my details in fact here you go, my phone number. 07760560720 Phil

I have no problem with anybody having my details in fact here you go, my phone number. Phil But people have trusted me with their details, so although I'd still remember roughly where my drops have been, I don't want to hold those details and have no intention of passing them on. Anyway... probably this Sunday I can put up the link to the calendar itself, and our trip photos. Today & tomorrow boating - but storm may have had trees over the canal.... very windy last night - and still blustery. We've had quite a storm here too, it started last night and lasted until 8.30am this morning, now there are only some occasional gusts of rather strong winds. The river is in flood, and about 1m higher than normally, lots of broken trees have drifted down and a pile was blocked between my boat and the gangway, hard job to clear that mess, but it has to be clear to let the strong waterflow pass, most of the debris is cleared, but as it is a bit (very much) too heavy for me, I needed a break, and will try to continue after a cup of hot-chocolat. Peter.

Good news, this much too heavy task is done, I managed to clear it all, and I'm ready for the next storm.
This job took a lot more than the energy I has available for the whole day, and I'm not in good enough shape anymore to check the boat of my avatar, that's moored on the same river 35 kms upstream.
Just hope that nothing serious has happened there, I will check that out tomorrow, when I hope to be in better shape again.
Peter.
