Sat watching the birds in my garden We only get sparrows and a robin at home, with an occasional visit from long tail tits. When we're on the boat we get a huge array of birds using exactly the same selection of feeds. Nuthatch, woodpecker, bullfinch, all the usual tits, greenfinch, and many others. It's strange how 'normality' is a movable feast. Suppose that's a lesson for life Rog ETA just looked it up and apparently it's a zephyr of long tailed tits. Can you tell I'm just sat waiting to go to work

Can you tell I'm waiting for pop Master to finish before cruising?

You can also sit by the road and watch buses going past. Different makes of bus (Volvo, Scania, Mercedes), different companies, different paintwork. Each to their own! My mrs calls me merecat cos I pop my head up every time a boat comes past. You stick with Eddie Stobart mate, enjoy

I prefer to sit and watch the birds from top of Worms Head....there are the gulls and then there are the sparrow hawks and buzzards To-day my whole life flashed in front of me when the idiot whose car I was in decided to go into confrontational mode over what he perceived to be his right of way......yep I lost it and shrieked at him...Im still shaking...I prefer not to see that very often....

We (well Andy) feeds the birds... he buys specific seeds to get specific birds...Niga (however you spell it) for something I can't remember - the squirells, mice, shrews and pigeons however DON'T seem all that fussy to me.
In fact the "squirell proof" feeders are anything but!
I CANT spell Squirrels

Thems the ones - Goldfinches I mean.... we have a lot of them. We've also got a woodpecker (steady) - he's not the brightest fella though as he keeps "practising" on the metal bracket at the top of a telegraph pole - he must have one hell of a headache.
