It's a bit like cars really, some manufacturers put the horn on a stalk protruding from the steering column, as Foxy says on a Scania you have to push the steering wheel centre, most Volvos I've driven have two horns, an electric horn and an air horn, the air horn is operated by a button on a stalk, is very loud and means "Fuck off out of my way, I'm coming through", the electric horn is operated by one of two buttons on the steering wheel, is more discreet and means "Nice tits, darlin' ". I used to have a Mini a bit like that (a proper one not the current incarnation). I wired air horns via. a change over switch so the steering wheel push operated each horn depending on where I was driving, open road/motorways or in town. I once wire a pals mini horn via his brake light switch above his brake peddle..... great fun at 18👍
