Post now edited for clarity. yes that's much clearer, you must be so proud of all your achievements? Well, it's not something I really like to talk about, and most of the chaps at the last regimental reunion said the same. You do your best to serve queen and country but other than that you tend to keep what happened in the past private.

For you with your French wife (or partner ?) you should know better, unless this is "une plaisanterie de ta part". "j'ai eu peur pendent une minute" Peter EnregistrerC'etait une blague. Having small children who speak French with The mum and english with me does cause some quite funny Franglais situations I do love to listen to Franglais, I even had a very funny book in Franglais that I lent to someone that never returned the book to me, and because of my failing memory I don't remember who that person was. Well I wasn't a member of The Hereford Regiment , but I used to fly them around in 8th Flight (now 658) Army Air Corp (AAC) in the 90's from Credenhill. Interesting I have had a few tense moments whilst being flown around by AAC pilots, was also in the 80s involved in a chopper crash [we hadnt left the ground well maybe a few inches]. I have complete admiration for them event though they have turned me green with their antics

In that case I'm putting in first claim for his boat. Anyone who would like to counterclaim will have to have a duel with me. With cutlery. It looks like I'll have to avoid upsetting Magnetman, Mr Stabby, and Peter boat (Johnv has already warned me). As for claiming my boat, there has been times when I would have given it away to a passerby. Those times when you are fitting out and nowt is going right. You are all fruitcakes by the way.

During the first Gulf War, I once parachuted into Iraq, hid inside a camel carcass for a week, then took an entire ISIS regiment by surprise as they passed and strangled them all with my bare hands. True story that. Of course, I don't really like to talk about it. Isis didn't exist during the first gulf war? Well didn’t they? They were underground.........

Some interesting heroics being aired here. Are they all true? I'm inclined not to believe anyone who self-suggests they were in the SAS. There is a big thing in that Regiment that trains you not to mention it, I understand. Mr Stabby, If you really were an SAS hero, then you will know that I have not insulted you!

Seriously though, there is such a thing as the Walter Mitty Hunters HQ. They "out" people who are faking their achievements, or bloat their military career. Not anyone on here I hasten to add. Have a look on their website. There was a town crier who apparently had more letters after his name than there were in the alphabet, non genuine.

I had a look at it seems strange because military records are normally restricted so if someone is giving info out its clang watch your fingers time!
