Yes it workedππ.
The phantom boat does exist and works
Well done. Still a bit of work to do, I see.
I'm impressed it will be cheap to run and you can sneak up on fisherman.

Excellent!
Nice vivid orange superstructure - I like it!
Ditch the abundance of dangles at the pointy and blunt ends though, they are never where you need them anyway!
She looks a bit bum out of the water minus the engine and hydraulic drive, a dirty great battery bank would no doubt solve that though!

Funny that you should say that as I have been removing and sealing the deck fittings I have been dumping the front and rear fenders!! When its all fitted out it should be flat when full of water and bum down as it is used fingers crossed and all that

I know from experience of my (much smaller) electric yogurt pot that cruising is 100% more pleasant when it is done in almost complete silence, just a vague thrumming sound from the prop.
If only there was some way of recovering energy from the wake of the faster gin places as they storm past on the Thames, all involved in the regular race to see who can get to the next lock first. The enforced slow and graceful pace of my electric boat makes me very disdainful of anything that makes a loud noise and kicks up a wake and whose occupants are oblivious to the natural wonders of the river. What a pity that the graceful lines of Edwardian river boats have been replaced by 2 storey white boxes with a pointy end at the front (which all derive from fast sea boats).

Good video Peter, and happy to finally see you nice bathtub. It wasn't easy having to wait for such a long time, but this video makes up for that.

3 mph is achieved in total silence it makes me smile every time we take it for a run out. It can do 6 mph but that nearly trebles the power needed at at 3 mph so my world will be seen at the slower much more relaxed pace. The orange will be going as well for a light blue and dark blue [solar panels]

Good work Peter, look forward to seeing it in a more fineshed state at sometime. What sort of size battery bank are you using/planing to use? And roughly how much running time do you think this will give. I'm aware this will be questimations but I bet you've done some sums.

I, too, watched the video and recognised the driver CRT could easily set up an electric socket beside every Elsan station for the re-charging of electric boats. How about overhead wires along the canals, so that boats could run like trains, catenary + pantograph system? I bet someone now is going to steal my idea! Bastards! It's already been done, I can't remember which one but on one of the tunnels they had the same system for the tunnel tugs.
