That could fun on the River Aire at Castleford, being wafted slowly but surely towards the weir! I rather think they have already gone over the weir or the current is miraculously flowing upstream. Phil

For me that should be classed as extreme too, this boat was (as you can read) specially made for the job of sea-crossings and sea-cruises, I would strongly advise not to try this with an ordinary (of the shelf) narrowboat (not even on one with a properly working diesel stove ) Peter.

As mine does not work, does that mean I could have a go?😂 Be nice to bring it to Southampton and go sea fishing of her. They were very brave opening up the weed hatch with large waves. For the benefit of doubt. Absolutely fuck that for a game of soldiers. I'm not sure I would do it on a proper sea going narrow boat
