Many of us must have had at least once in our lives a dream of sailing around the World, but only a few have really done it. This girl was only 14, I do admire what she did, and how she managed to pay for her own boat herself. Here is her story Peter.

I'm working my way through the video...she certainly looks to have had a charmed and privileged life! Ive not yet finished seeing all the video so my final impression of her isn't yet formed, I just wanted you to know I like the video so far. Its been well put together but first impressions show a very self absorbed and confident teenager! She certainly has been a very confident little girl, as you may have seen on the slides she showed during her show there, as she built boats (more floating objects really) at a very young age, and has always been obsessed by sailing, and she knew that what she wanted to do most of everything was to sail around the world at a very early stage in her young life. There are surely plenty of other very confident young children around, but I've never heard of one that went to court to gain the right to be free, live her dream and go sailing. Also before that her trip to the UK from the Netherlands on her own, she's sure isn't just an ordinary girl of which there are 12 in a dozen. But as was clear on this show, she's very proud of herself, and to be honest, if it would have been me at that age (and even now) I would have been proud of myself too Peter. Oh, btw how's your pup doing now ?

Oh, btw how's your pup doing now ? Sorry, I meant to reply to this sooner and forgot! Reep is doing very well now, I needed to put him in kennels for a few days recently for a family gathering (children not used to dogs!) and that set him back, he came home even skinnier than he normally is and scoffed everything in sight when I brought him home so he's put the weight back on and is very much happier.... no effects left now from the poisoning, so all is well. That's good news, I'm very happy that he recovered, as food poisoning can do more permanent harm; if not treated in time. He must be in good shape if he put the missing weight on so quickly, and that he's much happier now. It's nice to be able to share your life with a happy dog. Atb, to both of you, Peter.
